Empties! Brief Products Review Pt 1

Processed with VSCOcam with f2 preset

Hi everyone!

I’m just going to take some time today to go over some products I’ve recently used up, going briefly through each product and letting you guys know what I thought about them. To be honest, I’ve probably had some of these products for years, using them on and off. I’m actually quite proud that I managed to finish some of these products haha. So let’s get started! Dove Cool Moisture Foaming Facial Cleanser: I got this cleanser about 5 years ago…and just recently finished it. As you can probably guess, this wasn’t one of my favorite products. I’ve used this cleanser on and off, usually when I ran out of another cleanser I more so preferred. I think this Dove Cool Moisture Foaming Facial Cleanser cleaned quite well, but it dried out my face a bit. It gave my face a squeaky clean feel, but didn’t leave it softer or moisturized. It’s pretty inexpensive though. I had bought this during college when I was under a budget and don’t regret it. But I wouldn’t purchase this again.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion: This is my all time favorite eyeshadow primer. This was my second primer potion and this one took me longer to use up (as opposed to the potion with the wand [older version]). The primer really makes your eyeshadow last longer and prevents smudging. I really recommend this product and am on my third one already :P.

Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner: I got this as part of a holiday eyeliner box set from Sephora during last year’s Christmas period. The box set included a variety of eyeliners for a great price and in that set, was the Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner. I’ve heard great things about this eyeliner before I started using this and it holds up to all the hype. This is a great waterproof eyeliner that won’t budge throughout your day. I would consider repurchasing this eyeliner.

Essential Purely Smooth Shampoo: Essential is a mid-ranged, Japanese hair product brand. It’s sold almost at all drug stores throughout Asia. I got mine in Hong Kong at Welcome this past May. I had high hopes for this shampoo because I really liked the Rich Premier line from Essential. I had used that one consistently for 6 months while I was studying abroad in Hong Kong awhile back and really liked how soft and shiny it made my hair. But this Purely Smooth line was kind of disappointing. I think it made my hair more oily than smooth and it made my hair flat. Sadly, I can’t recommend this line of shampoo from Essential, but I really loved the Rich Premier line–highly recommend that one.

Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed this post :) Let me know in the comments what products you’ve finished up lately and what you thought of them.

Love,
Jenn
