In my pervious post, I had on a smokey neutral eyes look with bright red lips, and I thought I’d do a quick mini tutorial on how I created the look. So let’s on with this mini-tutorial!
I’ve already got my foundation on to keep this tutorial short :) I used my NARS Sheer Glow foundation. Loving it! I also primed my eyes with the Urban Decay Primer Potion.
For my eyes, I decided to use my Too Faced Natural Eye palette. I got this palette so long ago that it is actually repackaged now. I really liked this palette when I got it and used it almost everyday. But after I got the Urban Decay Naked palette, I’ve neglected this one. So I decided to show it a little love today and use it for this smokey eyes look.
I started off by putting Nude Beach (a sparkly nude color) all over my lids. I just used my finger here.
Then, using a flat brush, I brush Honey Pot (a golden color) from the middle section of my lids to the outer edges. Using a blending brush, I blended the two shades together and along the creases.
Then, with a small dome shaped brush, I used Cocoa Puff, a dark brown color, to darken the outer edge of my lids. And using a blending brush, I blended all the colors together at the crease. Blend blend blend! I also took Heaven, a highlighting color, and applied it under my eyebrow arch to highlight my brow bone.
Next I took my black gel eyeliner from Inglot and lined my eyes, winging it a little at the end.
I also took my Urumi liner in #2 and put that on the lower inner tear ducts of my eyes to create brighter eyes. I also curled my eyelashes and applied my Majolica Mojorca Lash King mascara. After, I applied my Ardell 120 demi lashes. As you can see, at the bottom image, my right eye (your left) has the falsies, while my left eye (your right), only has mascara.
If you don’t want to put falsies on, that’s totally fine. I usually just put mascara and I’m done. But for today, I decided to go fancy and put on those lashes for a bigger eyes effect.
Next, I got my blush brush and applied my Marc Jacobs blush in Promiscuous to the apples of my cheeks. Sometimes, without blush, I just look sickly. I look especially pale on camera, so I applied my blush generously.
So there! I’m almost done…
I’ve been loving the red lips look recently, especially with Fall coming up. So I grabbed my new favorite red lipliner from MAC in Cherry and lined my lips. Then I applied my CLIO lipstick.
All done! Hope you guys enjoyed this super quick mini-makeup tutorial!
